Fluctus was founded in 2006 by Gertjan Drent and has grown over the years into a reliable partner for product design and engineering in the Northern Netherlands. The Fluctus team consists of enthusiastic designers who take on any challenge together. No layers of managers, but short lines between client and team is when Fluctus is at its strongest.
Meet our team
Gertjan graduated in 1988 from Delft university, faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. He started his career at Philips, where he gained a lot of experience in product engineering and product management for counsumer products. He specializes in project management, product engineering and production support
Gertjan Drent
Product Designer / FounderBart is an industrial designer, trained at TU-Delft, with a specialty in product design. He worked for 10 years at Philips Design, where he designed numerous internationally successful and award-winning products for various product categories. In 2000 he founded design agency Focus and later Brightbird Design Center, where distinctive design and high product quality have always the focus.

With an eye for detail and creativity, he designs innovative, functional and aesthetic products. He believes in the power of good design to strengthen brand values and improve the user experience.

Na tien jaar bij Brightbird Design Center heeft hij meerdere prestigieuze designprijzen gewonnen dankzij zijn innovatieve ontwerpen en diepgaand begrip van gebruikersbehoeften.
